Who are the better drivers, men or women (explain your answer)?

Respectable men are better drivers, as 3 yrs ago I was involved in an accident and was nearly killed, but she was on her mobile at the time so I suppose I can excuse it NOT, My wife has done her test and been driving for 1 yr now and she would say that I'm the better driver, well I have been driving for 20 yrs and had two accidents the I explained and an Insurance man drove right into the back of, so YES WOMEN are BAD DRIVERS.

As with regards the ability to drive, mature men are far superior. However were all grotesquely let down by that not very small minority of idiots who drive like their underpants are on fire!! This isn't such a bad thing when you have 20years experience as you normally know a large number of the tricks of the road anyway so only tend to do it when you know its safe (unless your some kind or rep). but you get many guys in their teens who simply are not intelligent enough to be allowed to ride a bike let alone drive a car. They simply have no understanding of the dangers of a car and while they may have better control of a car than a similar woman driver, the female tends to drive within her means, the guy just goes to the cars limit, which is way beyond his own, then crashes!!!

A very poor driver can often be identified by his choice of car. If they choose something like an Evo (or want one) they are probably dangerous, and often the worst are the ones that get into a 1.0 fiesta. They tend to be hell-bent that they have to prove it's a fast car. When I was 18 I had a Rover 827 sterling. Now I didn't crash that car or any other for 1 simple reason. I had nothing to prove, the car was obviously fast so I didn't need to demonstrate it. Although I also had a modicum of intelligence and knew where my limits and the cars limits were.

1. Women have fewer accidents
2. Womens insurance claims are lower than mens

However were are some facts,
1. Women drive less, most women use their car for short journeys to the shops or to schools, just how many accidents can you have on a 10 minute drive. Most couples travelling on long distance journeys its the man that drives so it stands to reason if men drive more they will have more accidents.
2. Women tend to drive smaller cars so yes if they have an accident it will cost less, stands to reason.

How many times have you been stuck behind someone driving at speed which slows down other traffic totally oblivious to the chaos they are causing, 9 times out of 10 it will be a woman remeber ladies mirrors aren't just there to check your make up in.

Yes young male drivers, statistically, have more accidents however this is grown out of very quickly.
The worst and most unconsiderate drivers on the road are our own police force regurlaly exceeding the speed limit and never indicating at junctions.
However the peak of all bad drivers are hat wearing old people who have no idea where they are going where they've been or that there are other people on the road.
I am a Male driver passed my test at 17 and have never had an accident in 13 years, despite the best efforts of other motorists.

It depends! I have seen a lot of women farding while driving down the road. I means putting on makeup. Then there are women who tend to like to drive from the right seat while one is already driving in the driver seat, ahhhh, usually a male. Have you ever had a women holler at you from the right see while you are driving and it scares the living crap outa ya like WATCH THAT CAR and you, you, already took note of that car and was paying particular attention to the rest of the task of driving at hand and it makes you make unnecessary moves that also are sometimes dangerous. I say if the polls show that women are better drivers it is very possible that the right seat driver, ahhh, usually woman helped man to fail as the better driver. I rest my case.

Im female and I would say in general men are better drivers because they dont stop at every roundabout/junction even if there is nothing coming. Also, they dont tend to drive powerful cars that they cant control.
Im the best woman driver I have come across, but that goes without saying.

Neither are better due to innate or biological superiority.

Men tend to have a higher level of confidence, this make them more likely to take smaller risks that tend to pay off, as well at more likely to take higher risks that don't !

Women tend to be more stayed and take fewer risks, thus putting themselves in fewer positions where accidents happen, but they tend to get caught up in their fair share by not knowing when to take a risk to get out of a situation.

I know great men drivers, I know great women drivers.
I know crappy men drivers and crappy women drivers.

It's a pointless argument that belongs in the pub, where there normally happens to be mainly men hence the 'men are better' side tends to win.

Statistics don't lie. Women are statistically safer drivers, But I do think women drivers are a little to cautious at T junctions and roundabouts.

What does it recommend while the girl driving force in front of you places her arm out the window pointing to the left? It potential her window is open, not something greater. truthfully i don't understand why, I truthfully have totaled 3 automobiles and had distinctive citations and my spouse has yet to get her first citation and has on no account even scratched the vehicle. i assume that is merely relaxing to tease them.

Women, they have fewer accidents, dont get involved in burn off games and dont get the urge to overtake in bad places.
They dont care if someone revs next to them at the traffic lights and they are not interested in driving up someones back end.
