No NJ is not getting a new team. And for the record the NY Mets, Shea stadium is in Flushing, New York. New stadium to be built right next door to the existing one renamed for Citigroup.
If any place will get a new team it would be Portland or Las Vegas before New Jersey as there are already the Mets and Yanks in the New York Metro area.

I think if there was going to be a new team anywhere in 07, you would of heard about it all of 06. they dont decide to bring in a new team during the off season. they also cant build a new stadium overnight. the Mets new stadium (being built right next to Shea in Flushing Ny, not Nj) wont be done until the 09 season. If Nj was building a stadium that nobody knew about, North Korea would be asking them how they did it

No, it's not. The Yankees, however, did threaten to move out from NY to NJ if the city doesn't allow them to build the new stadium (there was a dispute over the locations of the new stadium). But, it's settled quite a long time ago and the new stadium will be built adjacent to and north of the current one.

The rumor I heard is the Mets are moving to New Jersey, and that is the reason for the new stadium. But I have been known to be wrong once or twice.

Just a rumour. The cities of Nashville & New Orleans deserve to
have MLB in place of Milwaukee & Toronto.

this is a rumor when you have two big market teams in new york, new jersey wouldn't draw any crowd. Plus I think there is a rule that two teams can't be located near each other. That is why there have been many lawsuits regarding the Nets move to Brooklyn.

That would be too soon to move a team there. I think the Mets are locating not too far from there current location.
