I don't think it should be required. It is very dangerous for a 13 y/o to have a baby. But I think abortion is a very personal choice. The girl needs support & education on all options concerning her condition & her life. She's a child herself. No one has the right to judge her for having sex & no one has the right to judge her for the choice she makes in this matter. If you don't believe in abortion, then don't have one, but don't force others to share your beliefs. Every circumstance is different. I would support any decision she would make. Personally if it were me and I were 13 & pregnant, I would most likely choose an abortion. Sorry pro-lifers that's my choice & my right. I respect your opinion & you should respect others as well.

It is not too dangerous for her to have the baby as she was fully developed enough to get pregnant in the first place. There is no need to kill a baby just because a girl is young. Many people would love to have children and can't and would give the baby a loving home. The child did not ask to be conceived and should not have to be killed just because a someone was careless. Yes rape does happen and people get pregnant but the baby did not ask to be conceived.

I Do not Think that anyone should get an Abortion no matter what! If an 13 year old girl is out there spreading her legs then she should take the responably of having a kid. Her parents are also need to step up and help her with the child! Her parents let her get out and Get Pregnant!

Of course not. No matter what the mother's age, the unborn child is innocent and does not deserve to die. Furthermore, abortion would be more dangerous for the young mother than childbirth. Childbirth is a natural process, in which the cervix opens gradually. Abortion is an unnatural, violent process in which the cervix (tightly closed to protect the baby) is forced open. Any woman who aborts is at risk of cervical tearing and damage, but the risk is especially great for very young girls whose cervixes are still "green." This may render the girl permanently unable to carry children to term. You need to take a look at:

no you should not get an abortion no matter how old u r, u have to have this baby it is yours and if your 13 or 12 you will always be the mothetr and no one could change that so in my opinion keep the baby and your parents can help u take care of it.

No it should not be required. It's up to the ob-gyn and the parents of the minor what medical care she receives. If it's incest or rape then the state may appoint counsel for the minor and a judge decides.
I strongly disagree with a number of post. First u can't just lay blame on a single parent or parents as to the teen getting pregnant nor having sex! I know of kids that have good homes, were raised with lots of morals and values but use no birth control. It's like playing russian rulette. Yes there are some crappy parents who encourage the girls to have babies or to have sex. Trying to be the friend instead of the parent.
What I see is that we are having a rise in the number of teens who are so insecure, seeking love in all the wrong places, that think a baby will luv them unconditionally. Not thinking on how will I support or provide for the baby. In trying to do... our lawmakers have so many social programs that are encouraging 2nd, 3rd and 4th generations of welfare families. We provide low cost or free housing, WIC, Food Stamps, and welfare payments. And now were teaching these kids if they have preemie babies... they can look for long term financial payments...
Girls need to be comfortable, respect themselves, and have solid mentors and community to show them they can have a real future, real love all in due time. There needs to be serious education of the boys. If they are to engage in sex to protect themselves and the girl.

I'm sorry Emily, that's a pretty name but, I'm against abortions. All I have to do is look at my two new grand daughters, their three weeks old.
I know what your talking about and I don't know the answer. My religion forbids abortion.
I would think better sex education. Why kill the baby because the girl was stupid? Better sex education, for boys and girls, maybe that would help.

That is not your choice to make its hers, the baby's dad, the families involved. Give it up for adoption sure, but abortion at that age does not come without it problems either.

It is also dangerous at that age or any age to have an abortion. Talk with her doctor and make an informed decision.

No. That baby does not deserve to die because a teenager did not know how to keep from getting pregnant. I think she should carry the baby to term and then the baby be taken away from her.
