He should have known better but HM was and is a manipulative woman. She conned him into thinking her beliefs were like Linda`s at a time when he was lonely and missing her. He has learnt an expensive lesson but he does have one blessing his daughter Bea lets hope he gets custody. Money cant buy happiness but it does help. HM has proved her greed by the amount she is after he should have signed a pre-nuptial but it is easy to say now. If you won the lottery tomorrow you say you would be a bachelor for life! How lonely would that be unless you only want to meet a certain type of girl like HM who would only be after your money. There are no pockets in shrouds but if you did meet the right person you would not mind sharing your money. You would not have to tell them you were a lottery winner until you were sure she was the one. There would also be a pre-nuptial although not very romantic it would protect your hoard. Even though it might never happen ha ha.

How can you possibly tell someone not to marry the person they want to spend the rest of their life with? Yes, of course he was wrong and, as many people predicted, he was 'off his trolley' to marry her. Nevertheless he now has to live with it. Telling him he should have known better isn't going to help anybody. With regards to your being worried that you'll get a money grabber for a wife; if you seriously are that worried then you will never be a happy man. I would like to think that most people can recognise whether or not a person is really interested in them or their money. When it comes to Paul McCartney, why is everyone so engrossed in the outcome? Our lives are just as important and, albeit not millions, the settlements are equally as important. We should all focus on our own lives and worry less about those that couldn't give a damn about ours.

No-one knows for sure what goes on behing closed doors and most people are automatically taking Paul McCartney's side. The fact is he is a mutil-millionaire with a family to take care of before his child with Heather Mills so not to protect his money through a pre-nup was stupid. He should have known better, he's a grown man who didn't protect his own fortune so tough luck I say!

I must confess i feel very sorry for Macca. Yeah but he should have seen that money grabbing slapper coming. Had he not been so low after losing his beloved Linda He may have had more brains. Everyone could see this coming a mile of. That woman would sink to anything to get money and have her name in all the papers. Having little Bea has just sealed her fate, as always having plenty of money to spend, none of her own of course. Feel very sorry for Paul and his little girl and the rest of the family. I think Paul should be given custody of Bea and she should be given a tenner and made to make it stretch. Just hope the Judges will be in Paul's favour and tell her to hop along!

People who responded with the idea of a prenuptial agreement should know that they have no legal basis in the UK.

Everyone makes mistakes and Paul was vulnerable after the death of Linda.

It's hard to be on your own after a long relationship. People react differently. I think he thought he needed to be with someone but he wasn't thinking clearly at the time. I don't know if Heather saw a weak person and leaped at the chance of marrying him or whether she just made a bad decision too.

Yes he should have ! what does she need more than, say £10 million for. Christ ! its obscene the amounts being talked about, she should be able to live on half that. Most humans on the planet live on a dollar a day, I hear, yet we are talking up to £60,000,000, If she's that charitable then she can donate half of her gains.

i think paul McCartney was conned by a scheming gold digger when he was at his most vulnerable time, soon after losing his beloved wife Linda.
it is not unusual for a bereaved person to seek comfort and at the same time be blinded by grief.
