Um, no.
No matter who rules the house we should not totally withdraw. No the liberals have an uphill battle, if they shun the troops and make their efforts pointless then the american people will be furious with them and good luck getting re-elected. Thats just not a smart move. The terrorist wont like us no matter what, thats plain and simple. They attacked america so many times no matter who was "leading in congress". Think the american hostages in Iran in the 80's, World Trade 1 in 1992, The attack of the USS Cole, World Trade 2 in 2001. There are too many people who hate us for so many reasons. Bottom line, we should get the job done. The only thing that says we are losing this war is the media, ask the Iraqi people, they see that the US wants to help, yeah they want us out as soon as possible, but they dont want us to leave too soon. At work do you leave work unfinished?

Did you say "own Congress" you arrogant jerk? Do you have a bill of sale someplace that says it is yours forever?

What happens when the next elections occur? You just tell the American people that you "own Congress".

If your knowledge of politics is indicative of how the Democrats will operate in Congress I am truly scared.

Gee...I'm sure it is every Americans dream to have terrorists like us. You are so politically ill-informed that you actually believe that terrorists will stop attacking us until Islam is the world's religion?

Spend some time in the middle east and get a view of reality. I learned a lot during my time in Kuwait, Iraq, Bahrain, Qatar, etc.

No. Because of mismanagement, Iraq has been compared to Vietnam. The killing is similiar, but the caause is not. We have considerably weakened al-qaeda and other terrorists because we took out Iraq. If we leave now, everything we have worked so hard for will be lost. Plus, Rumsfeld resigned and we have a more open-minded Pres-so we have a lot to look foward to in the next two years.

I'm all for bringing our soldiers home and don't think they should have been sent over there to start with. Iraq is a repeat of Vietnam. As soon as we leave, the "terrorists" are going to turn that place right back into what it was in the beginning, just like the communists did in Vietnam. So I guess the answer is yes. There's no reason for American men and women to be dying for no reason.

As for whether or not they'll like us once we leave, I don't think they will. In my opinion, we've done nothing but piss them off even more.

Liberals? What liberals? Almost every democrat elected is a conservative if you didn't know. And if terrorists wanted to attack us again they already would have been able to a long time ago because they are not contained at all. Not to mention, democrats will set timetables pretty soon after they convene in January.

No, I don't think so. If we pack up and leave the middle east in an upside-down state, the terrorists will run amok - gaining strength and probably destabilizing much of Europe. Then we will be forced to return to much larger and more extensive problem.

If we cut and run, that will be viewed as weakness and they will bring it to us over here. The people of the middle East carry grudges for hundreds and thousands of years. If we cut and run, they will not start liking us. And they will attack.

terrorists will attack whatever you do. But yes we have to pull out of Iraq and start respecting other countries. Unless we change, this country is going to go to hell!
