Smile, be nice and polite and give a firm handshake. Don't smell bad and make sure there's no green things in your teeth. Ask polite questions about the person you are meeting, and be a good listener too. The rest should take care of itself.

well when shaking a hand, if it is a lady, match your strength, if it is a man, lower the strength, if he is a true gentlemen he will match your strength...
smile when being called, smiling when being met for the first time...
If at a dinner party, take everything you are offered, if you don't like it, take littller portions and try it, then politlly eat a little more... if you don't like it after that and are offered seconds just politly decline,, if buffet style just don't get any! never pile your plate with a lot of food!!!!
when dancing always let the man lead!
when leaving thank them, and shake their hands again!

Make yourself known to them shake hands firmly or hug like you really mean it (that is if you want to go that far.) Be on your best behavior and show off something you are good at but first make sure you are really good at that thing because it would really be embarrassing to go up and sing in front of that person and having that person leave with a ringing in their ear.(believe me I know from experience.)

i just am rather quiet. I let the other person feel out what I'm like. If they treat me like crap, they aren't gonna see my best side. My actions are decided by how others treat me.
