Pokemon Silver?

Question

I started up my Pokemon Silver game again. I started off with Cyndaquil, who I nicknamed Torch. I'm at the first routes of the game. What pokemon should I catch before heading to Violet City? I only want ONE new pokemon with Torch before going to Violet City.

go for weedle

if you're not necessarily looking for that much of a challenge, get a sentret - they are solid critters that can learn quite a few HMs down the road

You should get a Geodude. They'll really come in handy at the Gym. Make sure it knows Rock moves and not Ground. Otherwise, you're screwed. :-)

um i would try to find a geodude to take out the flying pokemon, i would also try to get a pidgey mainly those as i could remeber from my childhood this was my team and i never lost..... For both jolteon and espeon your gonna need double eevee so just breed an eevee that you get with a ditto

so you choose cyndacuil as you started pokemon thats a good choice,what pokemon should you catch i said Hoot Hoot as it is both flying and pychic pokemon raise it until level 20 so that it could envolve into @#@$@^%(i don't know how to spell its name).
