Spa is foaming like an episode of 'I Love Lucy' - help needed?

Question

Okay here's what happened: my spa has a tile-covered waterfall along the back. I cleaned the tile with Tilex brand tile cleaner. It contains phosphoric acid but the label did not mention detergents. I used perhaps 1/4 - 1/2 cup for 2 8'X6' panels of tile.
When I turned on the jets (it doesn't foam when the waterfall is on) the soap bubbles were so deep they looked like some slapstick comedy routine Kramer from Seinfeld would find himself in. All I needed was a horse to feed some Beef-a-reeno to and I was set.
Any ideas - short of draining the spa - on how to reduce the foaming? My pool guy is out of town for a week and a half on vacation. Thanks, fellow spa owners/pool maintenance people!

baking soda will neutralize the soap and soften the water

Skimming the foam off the top might help a bit, but as I've found w/ bubble bath in a jacuzzi you can really only turn off the jets every so often & wait for it to die down. Although actually, if a strong cleaner like that has wound up in your spa, you really just want to drain it and rinse REALLY well, as you don't want those chemicals on your skin.

Ivory soap, the old fashioned bar soap, will cut the foaming action of detergent. Simply float the bar in the tub for a few minutes. Soap and detergent negate each other.

set up a table in your front yard and sell tickets, and let the kids have fun! or simply throw a spa foam party until it finally is allused up of soap

any pool or spa store will carry " defoamer" u just mix it in a 5 gal bucket and then pour it in.......takes about 10 mins and all gone.....

Try some fabric softener. it kills the foam, and makes your spa smell "April Fresh".
