I just bought a calligraphy pen set at AC Moore. It comes with 2 pens, a lot of plastic ink cartidges, and several nibs. I have heard that it puctures on its own when you screw the top piece on, but it isn't working. I don't think I should puncture it myself because I will make a mess. How do I load this pen???

is the thinner end supposed to be facing the nib or the other way?

maybe the plastic cartrige is upside down, it should puncture when you screw on the nib unless the cartridge is in upside down
