1)I think you should get rid of your ill-fitting shoes for good.
2) Go through your closet and get rid of what really doesn't fit.
3) I think it would be really cool if you put on one of your big shirts and tied a belt or something around your waist. If your shirt is long enough, you can just buy some leggings and wear them with the shirt. You can also wear a sweater over your shirt dress.
4)Remember to layer. Layering is in. It's a great way to use warm-weather clothes during the cool months.
5)I know you don't have too many skirts, but even those meant for warm weather can look good with some leggings and a light sweater.
6)no matter what you do when you layer, don't forget to balance the weights of your pieces.
7) Be creative and have fun!

Sweetie... take a really good hard look at everything in that closet. Throw it all on the bed and start trying stuff on, a little at a time. Take next weekend to do it. And anything that doesn't fit, put in a bag and drag over to charity. Keep only the clothing that fits well. And keep only the stuff that is not trendy or faddy. Keep classic styles; straight lines, no fancy detailing. And get rid of those shoes that you can't squeeze your feet into. You will get blisters, corns, calluses and pain from wearing shoes that don't fit your feet.
Go to the second hand stores, or Dot's, or Rainbow, or one of those really cheap stores. They carry very classic basic clothing there for really not a lot of money. The second hand stores are great for that especially. Buy very simple lined clothing. Get a couple skirts, a couple tops with scoop necks, turtlenecks. (whichever looks best on you) and get them in very basic colors. Remember, if you buy clothing all in one color, it makes a straight line down your body and makes you took taller, thinner, more put together. Find a couple button down blouses too in that color. Get a blazer, get some simple pants; no pleating or pockets. (the pleats and pockets stick out at the sides and make a strange line to your body). Basically black looks great on most people. Then if you want to pop the outfits, get accessories in bright colors. A red scarf is what is runway hot right now. If you get a long, oblong shaped one, you can double tie it around your neck to make it shorter, use it as a head wrap, belt, tuck it into the blazer to make a sort of blouse top almost.
Now comes the hardest part; if the jeans are too short, you can either sew on cuffs in a fabric you like. Or you can take a deep breath and throw them in the charity bag and get one good pair of simple jeans, no acid wash, no fancy detailing; PLAIN jeans that will take you everywhere.
I know this is not what you wanted to hear, but sometimes we all have to bite the bullet and clean out that black hole of a closet we have and start with something fresh and new. Good luck dear. This is going to be hard.--

Well, what I did for a bunch of big shirts is:
1. Invite friends over to have a "clothes makeover"
2. Get sharpies, glue, beads, glitter, sequins, ( all mandatory) but you have to have scissors and a ruler!
2. Take the shirt and lay it down and cut on the side of the shirts every 1 or 2 inch sections. Then cut the sections down the middle.
3. Then decorate the shirts!
4. Wear the shirts to school on the same day (be sure to wear with great/fun jewelry!)
5. For jeans i would say wear boots over them or roll up to capri's. Or you could turn them in to skinny jeans by cutting up the side and sewing them to getter and destroying them. Or turn it into a mini skirt!

big shirts?
pair them up with sweats and a lazy up-do for a casual look. gather the back of the shirts with a hairtie to make them fir your waist.
or, wear those with some skinny jeans and high-heels for the retro look.
jeans?
if they really are bad, then just give them up, but if not, simply roll them up into kepris and ta daa! a new pair of pants.
if you want to keep wearing summer clothes layer them with over-sweaters and lacey overshirt accessories. i suggest old navy... they have alot of layering technique and you can wear thier stuff with your old stuff!
as far as the shoes, you could expirament with cutting and decorating them, but you might want to just give them to a relative or goodwill.
to make dresses out of shirts and skirts you will need a sewing machine, and simply sew the bottom of the shirt to the top of the skirt...
the problem?
may not be form fitting.
if you really want a dress you can go to a place as simple as a thrist shop (local is best) and find something there.
even if the dress is out of style, jazz it up with trims and studs...
get creative!
o and the leg warmers?
go for them!
you might not like them cuz sometimes they get a little itchy, but i would say just liek layering shirts, layering on the legs is great too!
and who knows?
you may make it the next new trend...

If they fit you, wear them with your new things, example: old shirt meet new blazer. Or if you want to be creative, make your jeans that are too short into a mini skirt and wear them w/ black leggings. Or sew in your big shirts so they can be form-fitting.
If they don't fit you donate them, or give them to your little sister/cousins.

With big shirts, you can accessorize it and make it form fitting to your body with a wide belt or wide ribbon tied at the waist. With your jeans that are too short, pair them with some nice boots this way your jeans aren't covering the boots completely, which is a trendy way to show off your boots.
