My question is about my Lexmark x125 printer? I install a ink cartridge and I started smelling smoke.?

I brought both color and black cartridge the black one is the one that was burning.

I'm not sure if I'd pay somebody $100 to fix an $80 printer.
The printers work by smoke. Once you let the smoke out, they don't work anymore.
