I've heard NO word of Katie Couric being fired.
She left NBC's "Today Show" to take the anchor job on "The CBS Evening News" in September of 2006.
Her contract at NBC was up and she didn't renew... she was NOT fired.
Interestingly, she has worked for NBC, ABC, CNN, NBC, and now CBS.

Shes not fired, shes not going to get fired. Her ratings were not bad on the today show, and she is doing very well on the CBS evening news. Dont read tabloids!!

i saw her on the cover of one of the tabloid magazines and it said something about her getting fired...i was in the grocery store... i didnt read the details..i hope she didnt get fired,she just got there and she left her other job to take the one with cbs

She was? From CBS? Or do you mean why she isn't on NBC Daily Show anymore. She quit so she could do the CBS Nightly News.
