Substitute values for x, find y, then graph and connect the points.
x=0, y=-4
x=1, y=-1
x=2, y=2
another way is to recognize that your equation is in the y-intercept form, so the graph crosses the y-axis at the point (0,-4) and then since the slope is 3, go up 3 and to the right 1, put a point and do it again. then connect the points.

This is a simple line graph of form y = ax + c
"a" is the gradient of the slope, in this case it's +3
"c" is the place the line cuts on the y-axis, this case it's -4

I know it has to do with slope-intercept form, where: y=mx + b
Unfortunately, I forgot how to plug in the variables to make it work. Then, I think you graph x on the horizontal axis and y on the vertical. Also, I think "m" represents slope.
