First wash it with EXTRA soap .Then when it is dry put an AIR FRESHENER in it wait about20 minutes then see what it smells like.

Wash them it's ok. Dry them in the dryer or sit them outside to air out...When you have them like you want them ,whenever you take them off put dryer sheets in them to keep them fresh. Wipe the outsides , use an old toothbrust for scrubbibg every day so you will never have to put themm inthe machine again.

Seriously! Some of these answers are ridiculous! The old fashoin way, wash them, after they are completely dry, sprinkle the inside with baking soda.

After seeing all these answers recommending Febreze, I thought I'd share that the reason Febreze works is not that it "removes" odors; rather, the chemicals in it affect your odor receptors so you can't smell what you've sprayed.

WELL I NEVER SEEN HIM SAY SNEAKERS.YES WASHING THEM IN BLEACH WORKS GREAT.BUT IF THERE LEATHER SHOES WHICH HE NEVER SAID ONE WAY OR THE OTHER.JUST AIR THEM OUT FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS OUTSIDE IN FRESH AIR.AFTER THAT A TALC POWER.CHANGE YOUR SOCKS MORE OFTEN AND WASH FEET WOULD HELP.GET YOU A SET OF ODOR EATERS.
