they are actually pretty accurate on a scientific level. when our emotions change, like from angry to nervous to happy to loving our temperatures change, and that is exactly what mood rings do is change colors with our body temperatures. its just... that some are cheap and aren't accurate. they're generally aren't seen as serious measurers of emotions :) but i like them nonetheless!

By heat, put it on something warm and watch it change colors. They say it is your own energy that will change the stone to reveal your inner emotions to different colors like blue means relaxed, calm etc. There is some kind of chemical in the glass.

No, these cute little rings don't really work, to tell your mood. They change according to your bady temperature. If you are hot they change a color when you are cold or warm they change a color.

They work. My husband bought me one because I'm in menopause and he wanted measure my moods. We found out that when I'm happy, the ring turns blue and when I'm angry it leaves a big purple welt on his forehead. (It's a joke that was Forwarded to me and I couldn't resist!)

I don't believe in them only for the fact that mine is deep purple all the time when I wear which indicates I am full of passion... well good grief I should of exploded with passion a long time ago !!
