5x + 4 = 29 (subtract 4 from the two aspects) 5x + 4 -4 = 29 - 4 5x = 25 (divide the two aspects by potential of five) 5x/5 = 25/5 x = 5 3x + a million = 13 (subtract a million from the two aspects) 3x + a million -a million = 13 - a million 3x = 12 (divide 3 into the two aspects) 3x/3 = 12/3 x = 4 7x + 3 = 17 7x + 3 - 3 = 17 -3 7x = 14 7x/7 = 14/7 x = 2 8x - 3 = 13 8x - 3 + 3 = 13 + 3 8x = sixteen 8x/8 = sixteen/8 x = 2 10x +9 = 12 10x + 9 - 9 = 12 - 9 10x = 3 10x/10 = 3/10 x = 3/10 2x - 7 = 10 2x - 7 + 7 = 10 + 7 2x = 17 2x/2 = 17/2 x = 8 a million/2

Be more specific, like tell what you have to do... Slope-intercept form? (y=mx+b, m is the slope (rise over run), and b is the y-intercept) Graphing linear equations?(to graph, for example, y=2x+3, go up to the y-intercept(3). Then, go up two(rise) and to the right one(run), keep doing that. Something harder? I would review all of your notes that you took in class and read over the examples in your textbook. Ask a parent or older sibling or go on a HOmeWork Help website. Otherwise, if that still doesn't help, go talk to your teacher tomorrow morning during homeroom. that's what some of us do. If you go early, they are more likely to help you and give you an extra day; if you wait until class time, however, they may not be as nice. Remember to ask questions in class if you don't understand something. I'm in eighth grade, and I'm in algebra, too. Good luck

One thing you can not do is wait till the last minute when you have Algebra homework. Even if you are a math whiz it would leave you open to little mistakes that you probably wouldn't make if you paced yourself. Most likely you did not just find out about the assignment so for now I would say get cracking and for the future plan ahead. This method will ensure the best grade possible. Obviously you care about your grade or you wouldn't be asking the question. Good luck.

Well Im gonna offer you some sound advice:

Get off the internet, sit down in a quite room, open your book and use the examples it provides as guides to complete the problems. It should explain it to you in step-by-step fashion and then provide a few examples. Look through the book and model your answers after the ones in the book...its better than not doing it at all because theres at least a chance you could get some right.

Good Luck and Good Night.

The internet is more useful than just playing on Yahoo Answers. Look it up and pay more attention in class next time.

You need to learn the stuff whether it be from your teacher or a tutor. You'll need good grades in school to graduate, to go on to college, and/or to get a decent job. Put the time and energy into it now so it won't be so hard later on in life.

Get off the computer and get your books out and put in a lot of hard work and get as much done as you can. And then learn from your mistakes and don't let it happen again.

Or say the dog ate it.

or say it's because you're a numpty

Take the homework to your teacher and show her/him where you attempted the work. Tell the teacher that you honestly do not understand. Look the teacher in the eye and volunteer to stay in at recess and learn. And really try to learn it.

pay attention in class from now on, but right now you need to call a friend who has the same homework and ask for help

go to hotmath.com and it will take you step by step through the problems. or, you can call one of your friends that is also in that class, and do your homework together, or have him/her help you. someone in your family might also be willing to help you out.
