For the past 5 years I have been having the same yellowish-whitish discharge that occurs whenever I am not menstruating. Should I be worried about this?

Have a doctor check it out!

You are probably experiencing a mild yeast infection and you should probably consider seeing your Dr.
I have had the same thing in the past and dismissed it as being normal but then felt like a real dummy for having put up with it for so long when it could have been stopped long before it was.
It is probably there during your period but under the circumstances you just do not notice it.
Life is so much better without having to deal with this problem and I certainly feel alot cleaner.

It depends...but most women have a whitish discharge before/after they menstruate and it's completely normal. If you are experiencing any pain or discomfort I'd see a doctor but if not it's normal.

Several years ago I had a terrible discharge everyday. The doctor said I had polyps on my cervix. He froze them off in his office. It was done in a short while with no pain at all. I felt like a new woman.

It hasn't killed you in 5 yrs right?

Ask your doctor--this never came up during routine exams, like pap smears? You do get those right?

Take care.

No, it's perfectly normal; we all have it. It's the vagina's way of cleansing itself.
