I have a degree in Business/Marketing, but HATE business. I went to school for teaching, but after a year I changed my mind. I also droped out of hair school. I am very artistic. I love to draw, read, write, decorate my home and make beautiful pastry. I am also very carying and nurturing. I love to help others and take care of others. I always try to put everyone before myself. I like listening to others and trying to help them with them work out problems. I am not afraid to get my hands dirty and enjoy fixing things. I am not a machanic, but I have no problem opening up the hood and trying to find out what is going on or fixing the pipes unders the sink. I also I am 35 years old and my girls are in high school. I have been struggled financially all of my life and would like to have a job that will provide me with more financial security. I also would like a job that I will not dread every day. I get bored easily and need a job with variety.

The funny thing is when I read your question you reminded me of myself. I will tell you that everything you have said is me all the way. Now I will tell you what my career is.... I am a Private Investigator. I LOVE my job, I love going to work, I love doing it... it is different every day. Nothing is the same. If that doesn't do anything for you I don't know what else to suggest other then look on-line for something that looks like you would enjoy. The PI thing is through a private organization so no rules and no boss over your shoulder and you can be as creative as you want when you are being someone else for a day or week which ever you need to be for that case. After that case you write your report and you do something else. I hope that helps.... Good luck!!

Have you tried the Marketing end. It can be very rewarding. Your 35 and need to settle down where you can earn a retirement. I know a few people like you and there just isn't much request for artist and you need a lot of money to be a developer. Wake up. A lot of people go to jobs every day they hate. A lot of people go to jobs every day they love. Just go get a job.

You probably know already what you wanna do with your life but maybe youre afraid to face up to what that is coz it'll be difficult and involve a lot of change. I was the same, i did engineering in college and got a job and everything when i graduated. But i hated engineering and i only did it coz i didnt know what else to do. But i think all along i knew i wanted to do something else but i was afraid to admit it coz i knew it would be difficult to go back to the drawing board and start over again. Plus i was afraid of what people would think about me abandoning yrs of study in engineering(plus lots of money!)and doing something else entirely. But it was worth it coz im doing what i want now and it feels right. So have a think and be really honest with yourself. Is there soemthing you wanna do but everytime you think about it you say to yourself, no you cant do that coz you couldnt afford it or what would people think if i did that or whatever??? Dont be afraid of anything coz if its really something that youre suited to, it'll work itself out. Good luck

You could start up your own business or work for a designing company. That way you could help people and give them advice. You could also become an author. That way you could put your creativity to work and once again you could give people advice. As for the job you won't hate everyday, well we all hate our jobs but whatever puts bread on the table.
