- my mother is paralyzed on her left side due to a recent stroke
- she can read and loves to work crossword puzzles, but can't find an adjustable. easy-to-use, storable lap/bed-desk
- also would love ideas/resources for storing things that she needs easy access to next to her bed
- hospital nightstands are worthless, and so are their over-bed tables - any help?

Once your mom left the nursing home, didn't they offer home assistance? which would include some equipment and also physical therapy.

There are lap desks that have a board on top and a bottom like a bean bag. I've seen them in catalogs like Lillian Vernon. They work great in bed or on the lap while seated.
