Bio fuels are greenhouse gas neutral. The best projects are small and local because the cost of transporting feedstock or fuel can easily outweigh the advantages. If you are in a rural area, agricultural wastes such as straw have the same energy content as wood. Convert from heating with natural gas to heating with straw or wood. If you are in an urban area, look for sources of grease that could be converted to bio-diesel. Cooking oil is a micro source. A meat packing plant will have a larger supply. Good luck. stop using fluorocarbons such as hair sprays, see about getting your representatives to pass stricter laws on coal burning power plants so that they have to adhere to stricter laws on pollution controls for them, ride a bicycle when possible and walk more, also see about pressuring your representatives to make existing refineries more efficient and less polluting of the atmosphere
