Art or music...doesn't matter. Personally, the story of Mozart is a tradegy. He was buried in a common grave...and we still listen to him today. How sad is that?

Oh my gosh! I have a minor in Art History and I have never thought of that...probably DaVinci, because I would just love to meet him and watch his mind work in real time.

(I know I should want to go back in time to change someones life...but everyone else in here is doing that.)

Or if I have to play by your rules...it would be Picasso...his life was such a tragedy...but would his art have been so good if he would have had a better life?
I personally think that I relate to his art because It is so dark and because it shows so much suffering and emotion.

I would pick Michelangelo. I am fascinated by how he studied corpses to learn the anatomy of the human body and how he painted that mural in the Sistine Chapel. It amazes me that he did most of that work lying on his back on scaffolding.

I'd commission an original work from Da Vinci - think of what it would be worth nowadays especially with the controversy of the Da Vinci Code......
