Yes.

I started at age 28 because after my divorce I began going out to clubs and the cigarette smoke bothered me a great deal. One of the bartenders noticed my discomfort and made a suggestion.

He said that if I just lit a cigarette and held it the smoke from the other cigarettes wouldn't bother me so badly; he said that I didn't have to smoke my cigarette, and he was right.

The problem started when I started puffing. Been smoking ever since and I LOVE it.

No. I'm like you -- not a heavy smoker. I don't always have a pack in my possession. I am more of a social smoker, like when I'm out at bars/clubs with my friends. I smoke when I drink, basically. And that isn't often either.. like once every two weeks.

I no longer smoke....I have been smoke free since July 24, 2002.
I wanted to quit for the longest time and did not think it would be possible for me. I prayed for help and help was granted. It was a tough battle, but anything can be accomplished if the desire is great enough!

I started smoking as a teen ager with the rest of my friends. We thought it made us look grown up..all of the famous TV and movie personalities publicly smoked, and we were emulating what we saw. No one had the foresight to see what destruction smoking would eventually cause.

I am mindful and grateful to be smoke free on a daily basis !

I started smoking with a habit at the age of 15. I have been smoking 23 years. The same brand I started smoking with Newport's. I smoke a pack to a pack and a half a day depending on how stressed I am. I started because I was stressed and haven't stopped being stressed.

I haven't had a cigarette or a drink in almost 15 years. I believe in remaining in control of your habits, what ever they are. Smoking started out as something I did at social events and after I quit I realized how stupid the habit is. You could have a new stereo or a TV instead of resin-ed up lungs after just one year.

I smoked for about 15 years 2 packs a day... I quit 20 years ago after trying many times to do so.... I carried unopened packs of smokes around with me for over a year until I felt comfortable enought to just toss them away...Yea I know it is a crutch... but hey ... it worked for me

. .nasty habit, your breath stinks and so does your cloths and home and also car. no I do not smoke. I knew this woman who lived across the street from me. she was a chain smoker(yuck. so to hide the stink from the cigarettes, she would put on perfume. so she even smelled from that. I was in an office where I lived and she walked in, and I had to leave because she smelled so bad, that I thought I was going to get sick from the stink

Yes, I do smoke and I am not proud of it, I started when I was almost 12 years old. I thought I was cool and now I feel stupid for ever starting. I have been at this horrible habit for 27 years and am trying to quit.

I don't know why anyone smokes. My mom, two brothers, two sister-in-laws, an uncle and some friends all died from smoking. I know it's hard to stop once you start, but why in the world would anyone start knowing how it will end.

I tried to chain-smole for about one month because I wanted to understand why people are so obsessed with it.
The only thing I can say is that it does not give you any pleasure, instead of this it makes you waste your money and smell very unpleasantly!
I remember me trying to cover the smell everytime I returned home! Lol!
It is not cool to smoke anymore!
Instead it is more cool to avoid it!
