My long term girlfriend broke up with me. She started seeing someone right away. I know that this did not start before we broke up. All of my friends say that it's a rebound. Should I take the fact that she got with someone else immediately as a sort of compliment? Does it say that she is having a hard time with this?

When you break up with someone it usually takes as long as the relationship was to get over them. If it was a month long it should take about a month to get over it. The fact that she found someone new says she has relationship issues. You should be weary of people like that. I wouldn't look at it as a stab in the back. Just take it as lesson learned.

No way. Being on the rebound means that she just broke up with you and is easy because of her being in a mourning period because of the breakup, to hook up with anyone to help recover the pain of breaking up. This is no way a compliment but just the opposite, as she will grab any guy thats out there. On the other hand this may not be a rebound thing as she may have been over you a long time ago and is just moving on once she got rid of you. Hope this makes sense and good luck

HOW does your friends thnk this is a rebound, that means she is just going with him because she still wants you to make you jealous, If she still wants you not him why did break up with you. A compliment for what, that she prefers him to you, I hardly think this would be considered on the rebounds. No Way.

I wouldn't take it as a compliment that you dated somebody who had dependency issues so deep they can't stand being alone.
I think you should look for somebody who is less afraid of being alone when you are ready to date again.
