In their defense, Pat Sayjack says that on his show the people are'nt that stupid. He says "its a whole different game on the set than what you see at home." Is it the same for Jay Leno's guests? Sometimes they seem really stupid.

For Lori: I was just comparing the the two show to demonstrate that stage fright may be an issue here. Pat Sayjack has been repeatedly asked "When the answer is so obvious to us at home, why don't the people solve the puzzle, are they stupid?" His reply is always: "No they are not, it is a totaly different game when you are on the set."

they only use the really stupid things that people say, its funnier that way. and some just act that stupid.

I love Jaywalking! The only time I watch Leno is on Mondays for Headlines and Fridays for Jaywalking. Yes, there are people really that stupid. The small town I live in the people are so unaware of the rest of the world. You can ask them a question about Canada and some of them aren't sure where Canada is! But you know, he probably talks to 50 people and out of those 50 maybe 10 are stupid and of course they are the ones that make it on air.

Some people really are that stupid. Others just have stupid moments. My roommate asked yesterday....Wasn't Bobby Kenendy JFK's son that died in the plane crash? It was just a stupid moment...not something she does everyday....

oh, i'm sure people are that stupid. doesn't matter if there's a camera in front of you or not. you'd be surprise how many people are really that stupid in this world. i encounter them on a daily basis.
