Why singers are always more popular and successful than painters etc and have more devoted fans?

Songs have always been more portable, and more transferable. A good song could be learned by thousands of people, A good painting could never be reproduced that easily. Songs are cheaper to produce and easier to understand.

i think because first it has some spirituality about it, second i think it is very hard to write music and so it remains a mystery as well, but because it talks to ur soul and it slips from ur ear to ur mind like smoke u cant touch it but u can feel it..

everyone listens to the radio...so in reality music would be more popular then visual art..
