that I had to buy a new big garbage thing because I was posting a question on here and it blew out into the street and a car hit it and broke it to smithereens so much so that I had to walk a block to find both pieces in a freaking thunderstorm? The new one has wheels, the old did not...what's the cover story here, folks?

You're in big trouble now. If it was already on the street the car thing will work, if it wasn't say some vandals came through the neighborhood and kicked it over in the street and the car hit it. Or try the truth, it was an accident and you knew it had to be replaced. So you got a nice one with wheels. Good luck.

That there was a storm and your garbage can blew in the street and got destroyed, your wondering if when your husband goes and takes out the garbage if he'll notice you made it easier for him by buying one with wheels??

Tell him It blew into the street and got hit by a car, and got smashed to smithereens, and you were thoughtful and nice enough to go and replace it for him. What is wrong with that?

No biggie. It's the wind's fault, not yours. If he blames you, then tell him it's the man's job to take out the garbage anyway!
