Specifically, this relates to research around either hormonal or genetic triggers. Why are some people naturally drawn from an early age to have children while others will put it off until late 30's-40's.

That's a really interesting question. There are some women who don't even feel any need to have children at all in their lifetime. I dunno if there's any research done about it, but it could be genetic. Like, a mother having a child in her early 20's, and then that child giving birth in her early 20's. It should be interesting to see what other's have to say.

I had my first child at age 16 and its the best decision I ever made, I do not feel I was too young or only wanted to be needed, it was an accident but turned out to be the greatest accident of my life, and the way I see it is I now have longer with my children to watch them grow older and see more generations, im not saying having a baby young is right and for everyone but if you are as responsibe as a 30 year old then people shouldnt justice you for having a child young, people should just worry about whether the child is rightly being bought up and loved

Many women will answer that they put off having children until they found the right partner. It is surely healthier to have children in your twenties, but the circumstances have to be right. I think those women who feel they have the right partner, but put off having children until their late 30s or 40s are making a big mistake.

I don't know if there is any research, or a need for it. I think some is probably by choice. and some women (like my aunt) have been trying for years and just can't get pregnant until later. I had my son at 21, he wasn't planned, but very much wanted.
