I know youre supposed to wear matching clothes so I thought Id just buy matching hoodies cause thats what most of my friends are doing, but I dont know what brand to buy?

Hoodies are so very slacker and slovenly looking, wouldn't you prefer something a bit more romantic?
Why don't you pick a theme and dress to match each other out of what you have in your closet. Do an 80s look, or a wilderness look, or something the like. Make it like a minor costume event, and you can make your date more romantic and fun.
PS:
Sadie Hawkins was a character from the Lil Abner comic strip. If you wanted to keep that theme, you could both dress a little country bumpkin or hillbilly for the dance. You'd definitely be a couple, you'd be showing off that you know what the dance is about, and you'd get to have a second excuse to dress up after Halloween.

wear something with checks that is short and cute. Dress sexy but cute.
