Hash, Atticus Finch was the conscience of his community, the moral backbone. He kept the community aware of its responsibilities to those who were disadvantaged in any way. A good example of this is that he made Scout read to the elderly lady she feared. As Scout spent more time reading to Mrs. Dubose, she understands how sad and frightened this old lady actually is. Atticus has shown her that all people are deserving of her respect and understanding. Atticus's moral compass is so clear that most of his community respect and admire him, but he's not dependent on that. When Maycomb's citizens begin to say cruel things about him to his children because he's defending Tom Robinson, it doesn't change what he believes nor what he teaches Scout and Jem. He stands up for what he believes is right, no matter the cost.

I agree that gender roles are sexist. I advise if that's what that distinctive family contributors needs then particular its effective, yet its not how each and every family contributors must be. there is easily not something incorrect a working mom and stay at homestead dad. people would desire to settle for that not all women folk belong in the kitchen!
