I'd remove the lot and download three in one. It's likely to take up less of your system resources meaning that your computer will perform better. Some people think AVG's the best thing in the world but it does slow down a computer.

Hi. I also have NTL broadband. If you ask for the protection...nothing is 100% secure. what you can do is...make sure following things for the stable image of ur PC..:
Enable the Windows Default Firewall...(u can access in Security Centre in Control Panel)
Another thing AVG anti virus is wide recommended..
-Its all upto u to either keep or remove the zone lab...because its too complicated to use... and might conflict with other programs.
Third thing u can do is download Adware of Lavasoft...its free.and one of the best anti adware program.
Thats all...and ur system is fine...too much security programs may hinder the processes.
I hope the answers are useful to u.
if u have any query, please feel free to contact at cfi.sharma@gmail.com
(the information is safe as I'm student of Information Security)

I am not familiar with any of NTL's products, but I would stay with what you have. I have used all those free products and recommend them to all my friends. My only gripe is with AVGs anti spyware which used to be owned by a company called ewido (I think, I'm on the Linux side of my computer and can't access my widows files, sorry). After 30 days AVGs spyware has reduced capacity. I would go with spybot search and destroy. Go to www.pcworld.com to read reviews and test results on different anti-spyware products.

I wouldn't trust NTL as far as I could throw them! Uninstall what you have and re install these
Antivir http://www.freeav.com
Firewall Zone alarm http://www.zonelabs.com
Anti spyware http://www.lavasoft.com
You could also download the yahoo tool bar with anti spyware also. All of these are free to use for personal use FOR LIFE and the licence will update itself as and when necessary.

Even though Windows has a fire wall and I have additional protection from Bell Security Manager my Zone Alarm Pro always says that, don't worry. You still have protection. I think it is said perhaps to encourage you to get the paid version. I go to P2P programs so I am always scanning and using other programs in case the firewall misses something. I would rather be safe than sorry. In addition to what you have I also use Ad-Aware Se (Free Version) to check out registry keys etc.

AVG Anti-Virus and AVG Antspyware are two seperate programs.
AVG AV program is free and provides free updates. This is an excellent AV program.
AVG AS is the old ewido AS program. It is a Full Time program for the first 30 days and it then become an On-Demand program after that. If you purchase it, it remains a full time program.

My advice would be to keep what you have - for now at least.
There are reports of Zone Alarm(free) being Spy-ware itself and this would not surprise me, nothing is ever for free - they all ping back to base at regular intervals and probably transfer info with or without the users knowledge.
The most secure item that I have in my security is having 'stealth-ed my router' (Voyager 205) this makes your ports completely invisible to the outside world and will defeat all hacking scans.
Here is the link if you run a 205 router.

Lose that program and get a FREE one from "avast.com" It's an awesome anti-virus with several shields for protection..i did away with Norton and others because they were annoying and took up alot of space! BTW...advast updates virus definitions daily/automatically. Works great on p2p programs too! You won't be disappointed!

please ,please, please dont use that diabolical netguard,i have seen this so-called security software screw up too many machines, its unreliable and sub-standard
stick with your avg anti-virus and zone alarm(excellent program),also download and install spybot(http://safer-networking.org/en/download/index.html) and lavasoft,s adaware personal(http://www.download.com/Ad-Aware-SE-Personal-Edition/3000-8022_4-10045910.html?part=dl-ad-aware&subj=dl&tag=top5),these are two excellent anti-spyware programs that will work in conjunction with a.v.g to complete a very good security package
allways be careful when you are offered free security software from i.s.p,s(internet service providers) as they are either very poor or are based on-line and not on your hard drive
if you are not too sure about a.v.g i can recommend a brilliant free anti-virus program(i use it myself).....download and install avast4.7(http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html),this is a brilliant anti-virus program which uses minimal resources and is easy to install and set up,it also has a vocal update interface which announces to you when its been updated, very handy when you arnt too sure your anti-virus is up to date
again beware of netguard...avoid it like the plague
good luck
