I tend to blush easily. but i agree with you on the whole complimenting thing, that definitely gets me, and if i get put on the spot and dont know how to answer something..

What you are talking about usually happens to the skin of your face. The skin appears red because extra blood is being carried in the tiny blood vessels just under the skin.
Your control of body temperature depends partly on the control of how much blood is carried to your skin. When your body is too warm, it automatically sends more blood to your skin. That helps you lose more heat. When you are too cold, more blood is circulated deep inside and less to your skin.
Some of this control of where your blood goes works for particular parts of your skin, like your face. The control point is called a center, located deep in the brain. It works automatically (without thinking) but in some strange way it is affected by what you are thinking about. That’s what causes a blush when extra blood is sent to the skin of your face.

I don't blush easily, but when I'm very frustrated, my temperature rises and makes my face turn red. No...it sounds like blushing, but trust me, it's not...lol
