"Girl, interrupted" starring Angelina Jolie and Wynona Ryder. It deals with girls having problems who are in a mental institution. It is based on a true story. Also, "Thirteen" is instrumental at depicting real life problems young teen girls face. This stars Evan Rachel Wood, Nikki Reed, and Holly Hunter.

Well I know there was a movie on a book I read called Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson... its about a girl named Melinda Sordino and she's a freshman at a new school, her friends all ditched her because she called the police on this summer party when there was alcohol being used... so now her friends don't like her anymore. You can also try {Catalyst, same author (theres no movie on this) but its really good... it talks about Melinda somwhat and how this senior, Kate Malone tries to get into MIT, a college, and she doesnt get accepted. Both books are all about teen life.. it seems so real and very hard to put down. Try reading those and I guarentee they're better then some movie. *smiles*
