What the heck does that mean? Do gays have such differing views on taxes, the economy, the war, health care, social security, Medicare, education, etc., etc. than straights? If every single special interest group had it's own Party, we'd get no where as a society. Truly just laws apply to everyone. Like any large group, those on the fringes of societal norms will be less pleased with the masses' wishes than those towards the middle. But as long as they are not discriminated against versus just not being ecstatically happy, that is doing pretty darn good.

Look at the percentages. I believe it's 3 % of the population of the country. That can be debated by percentage points up or down. However, you will have disbursement of that group of individuals throughout the country.
They have odds and numbers against them. Unless they all go to one geographic location in the country, more than likely they will remain a whisper instead of a voice in politics.
Lastly, their issues as a group, have no effect on the day to day success of the American people.
The right casts them as immoral, and the left gets caught up trying to protect them. As if they are some sort of endangered species of bird.
They will always be here. Remember 3 % up or down.

Gays already vote. Their votes are heard just like anyone else's. Since they represent about 2% of the population, don't expect them to be heard that much.

Maybe when people stop fearing gay people.Frankly I think gay people hurt themselves by all the parades and gay pride crap! I have never wrote my sexual preference on my t-shirt nor have I felt the need to build a float to celbrate. It's true people don't like it in their face.
