And is anyone aware of plusses? It's fowl tasting and I have only heard that it helps with plaque and blood flow. There has to be more to it.

Flax seed owes its nutritional benefits to lignans and omega-3 essential fatty acids.
Omega-3s, often in short supply in populations with low-fish diets, promote heart health by reducing cholesterol, blood pressure and plaque formation in arteries.
Lignans benefit the heart and possess anti-cancer properties.

P.S.
One tablespoon of ground flax seeds and three tablespoons of water may serve as a replacement for one egg in baking by binding the other ingredients together, and ground flax seeds can also be mixed in with oatmeal, yogurt, water (similar to Metamucil), or any other food item where a nutty flavour is appropriate.

Flaxseed oil is most commonly consumed with salads or in capsules.

Flax seed is the highest known source of omega-3 fatty acids which is very important for blood flow and is used by the body as an ant-inflammatory. It also contains omega-6 and omega-9, which are essential in order for the body to function. Flax seed is very beneficial for cardiovascular health, and due to its high amount of omega-3 probably would help depression and may even help with concentration.

You don't need to consume flax seed unless you are constipated. If you're having regular poopies, hey, you're in GOOD HEALTH!
