my boyfreind and i were together for about 3 months and he went to jail. hes been in jail for a year and hes supossed to be getting out on december. well i just got a recent letter from him saying he wont be back for another year. what should i do? im starting to like other guys, but dont wanna hurt him.

End the relationship, its not as if you were together that long before. He did the crime, he should also take in that life goes on, it wont wait for him.

Don't waste your life waiting. See other guys but be careful about how involved you get. If things are "good" when the your boyfriend gets out of jail, you can getback with him if you want to. However, guys who go to jail are not always the best kind to get involved with. You don;t say what he's in for, but if his lifestyle is the kind that will end him up in jail over and over, this is bad news and not a very good way to live. Think about what might happen if you marry him, have kids, and have to raise them alone because he's in jail.

I would tell him not to exepect u to be waiting 4 him. He can not expect that from u. If u like another guy go 4 him. I dont mean to judge but any guy is gonna be a better boyfriend than 1 thats in jail.

well if i were you i would go for the other guys even though you may miss your bf,but since he is in jail than how will go on dates and see each other and well there are probably much more better guys out there waiting to see you and meet you. go for the other guys.

he's definitely not on the good guy list
dump the loser!
go out with other guys
just dont talk to him and ignore his letters
when he comes out, ignore him and tell him ur over-unless he's a murderer, than tell the police!

well, if you really like the guy in jail, and wait on him, then thats on you, i mean i know someone whos gone to jail and it like their not there with you and you really cant do anything for him. i mean he mite go bakk in again. and if you really like this other guy who's not in jail, then go rite ahead and just go out with him. it mite be hard to let go of the guy whos in jail but it'll be a bit better, would you like someone you have to wait on, or someone whos there wit you? or the question is which one do you really like? its on, you i cant decide for you!

Do you really love him? Do you want a crimnal as a boyfriend. If you really love him try to wait. But if you have other feelings let them go. Write him a letter telling him how you feel. Hope it works out.

If he's " manly " enough to do whatever it is he did to get in there then I'm sure he's "manly" enough to get dumped.... What a loser.
When people go to prison thier life stops. Your's doesn't. Besides if he really cared about you then he wouldn't have done something stupid to go to prison and make you feel alone. DUMP HIM !!! Think what's best for you !
