Do you really care if you lose points? Do you need 30,000 points to live. Y!A isn't a game, it's for people to ASK and ANSWER questions. Not just answer. So, do you ask questions on Y!A?

i dont ask questions that often, i just like helping others and sharing opinions. and when people who dont ask questions, that doesnt mean they are obsessed with points.

First of all, I have asked 110 questions on Yahoo!Answers. That is only a net "loss" of 220 [(-5+3)x110] points. Currently I have about 6100 points, so if I wouldn't have asked any questions I would only have about 6300 points. Big whopping difference!!!
If I was in this thing just for the points I would vote (at my current level of 5) 80 times a day for any 'ol answer regardless of it's quality. That would be a waste of time don't you think. I could reach 30,000 points in about nine months...but what in the world would that prove??? NOTHING! So I would be at Level 7...would that make me a god or something? I wouldn't be any more happy than I am now. I would much rather read a good book!
I love asking questions because I like seeing what other people think. Almost all of my questions are in the Religion and Spirituality section because that is what I am primarily interested in since it directly touches on my life every day.

You bet I do. I have a good time here. Doesn't matter about the points. It's Entertainment. I don't really like it when I get a violation or my question doesn't get posted on the page. But that's my issue.
