Example....A week ago I was travelling on my local metro train without a ticket and for some reason the inspectors were checking all tickets at my stop, They had caught about 6 scroaty teenagers also without a ticket (like me) There was lots of used tickets on the floor, So I picked one up and just flashed it at the ticket inspector and walked past him scott free. My question is why did the scroaty teenagers that had been caught not have the brain power to do the same. (a middle aged guy) .

Why didn't a middle aged guy who should know better not have a ticket? Also its wasn't that clever picking a ticket up off the floor was it - I mean what if there hadn't been any there that time what would you have done then? It would have been much cleverer to have just threatened someone on the train with a knife and nicked their ticket in advance so you had it all ready. I mean why not? Would that have been clever cos you thought of that and a teenager didn't? How you can criticise teenaers I don't know when you obviously come from the same bag.

Some kids are far more street wise than adults. I work with them and some can be extremely devious. They can sit and plan how to rob the school, work out which way the police will come, where the cameras are placed and everything, even to how and where to sell the goods quickly and quietly.
Never underestimate the brain power of 10 year olds!!!

That's not street-smart that's deceptive and slimy. Sounds like YOU'RE the teenager here. A middle-aged man doesn't need street smarts because he should have enough money to pay for a train ticket.

you are proud of what you did because it worked , if it had'nt worked you would have seemed to be as thick as pig s+it and you would not be bragging about it.I bet you walked off the train with a grin on your face and told as many people as you could to gain a little street cred.YOU are probably just out of your teens and think you are streetwise.

Why were you travelling without a ticket in the first place? Sounds like you are the one who is a few sarnies short of a picnic.

bcos they are scroaty little teenagers... and they know that the inspector would look closer at their tickets bcos he would expect that kind of nonsense from them.
