Wow - what a loaded question. Really, it depends on the school. I don't think there is anything wrong with the existence of private schools, and I think some are much better than others. No school or school system is perfect. I know that a lot of private schools are established, especially in small towns, because some parents do not want their kids in public school with certain other children - perhaps lower socio-economic groups, other races, or whatever. My main problem with private schools is the lack of regulation. The teachers do not have to meet the certification guidelines established by the state. Public school teachers must have a four-year degree and must pass competency tests in their subject areas. I know of private school teachers with only high school educations. The schools are not subjected to standardized testing like public schools. Lots of parents worry about the violence in public schools and want to protect their kids from school shootings, etc. I think private schools are as much at risk..... Personally, I would not send my child to a private school. For all the bad in public schools, I like the requirements, rules, REGULATIONS .....

Theres nothing wrong with private schools besides the cost. Also some of the rules are ridiculous. But besides that it better because you dont get the gangsters and thugs from "poor" schools so they're a lot safer. Another thing, the teachers try to help you out as much as they can if you're having problems.

Private schools, people think they are the best education... while i don't agree( i agree to the fact that it is a good way to teach children), I dont agree to the fact that it is the best way. What's wrong with private schools is that they are a lot of times more expensive because of little or no help from the government...

of course that's inaccurate. people who decide to deliver their infants for a private training ought to pay for it. Helen S has have been given it so incorrect. sure those people pay tax however the tax isn't meant to be for a chosen few and for this reason they might desire to pay greater for inner maximum training. those people will stay in a huge indifferent homestead, not a semi or terrace, they might have the vital 4x4 which little question the female will double park given an hazard and that they are going to trip in a foreign country-not say at Butlins. Taxes paid must be for the country as an entire. Their isn't any information that youngsters having a private training finally end up from now on than infants attending state colleges.
