Why do people say bad words?

I only curse when I'm angry or pissed.

Bad words do show ignorance, but some folk by-pass that because they love the shock value of words like the F bomb. So what else can be said after the bomb is dropped? Nothing.

It expresses a person's anger and reveals that a person is so angry they dont even have control over the words that are coming out of their mouth.

I guess it's a bad habit, or they just want to be cool in the midst of their peers, or it just makes them feel like they're better than the average person at that point in time.

three reasons
1. habitual-this is how they learned to speak.
2. used under stress (angry/scared/etc.)
3. shock value-used by people to evoke a response or to imply seriousness to a statement-to show macho/young people use profanity because they think it reflects maturity. ex: "That was a really big fu*king snake"

u don't get anything out of saying bad words.What i do is avoid saying bad words,so don't say them at all.
