Well a quarter is 12 minutes and there are 4 quarters so 12x4=48. Plus 3 minutes break arfter each quarter so 12 a whole game. As well as Half Time break is 20 minutes so so far.

1 hour 20 minutes (80 minutes) PLUS time-outs so lets say there are 5 minutes time-outs so 1 hour 25 minutes (85 minutes) there are 2 overtimes and they are 5 minutes each so 1 hour 35 minutes (95 minutes).

And you have 10 seconds to take the free throws. So on average 1 hour 40 minutes (100 minutes) Confusing but it is true.

12 min per quarter
48 min for that total game
overtime is 5 min each

halftime is 20 min
ther is no set time between quarters
but its less than 10 min
it also matter on how man timouts and fouls and stoppagges there are

a player has 10 sec to shoot each free throw
there is a 20 sec timout and a full min time out
injury timeouts have no limit but usually last less than a min
official timouts have no limit but usually last less than a min

thats all the time factors about basketball

Basketball games 2 1/2 hours to play for some reason. You'll be there until 10:30 or later.

Each of the 4 quarters is 12 minutes long, with overtime, 5 minutes.

you have the regular 48 mins(4 quarters) 6 timeouts for each team...2...20 sec. timeouts...15min half time break...you have commercial timeouts if the game is televised...then the crowd fanatics when leaving the arena to get to your car...so if you wre going to a game at 8...you'll definitely be out 1130 0r 1200...ive been to alot of games....

NBA regulation-length games are 48 minutes of playing time. Don't forget fouls, free throws, time-outs, and half time. You probably won't be able to leave until like 11pm.
