megadeth. rust in peace is thrash metal perfected. marty friedman's solos are a league above anything those metallica boys could even dream of. dave mustaine's songwriting ability and use of rythmn is much more original and dynamic than metallica. i used to love metallica they were my favourite band, but i heard megadeth before metallica, now metallica have aged badly, megadeth still sounds fresh and exciting. also listen to the twisted humour of captive honour, sweating bullets and black friday, metallica dont do anything like that they just swear alot on so what (which is a cover).

thats hard, metallica were great in the earlier days (and justice for all kicks a*se) but have changed too much, megadeth still kick a*se now as much as in the early days. think i would have to say metallica, no megadeth, or metallica, damn it i say both.

megadeth have made more good albums, but metallica's are of a better standard, especially '...and justice for all' and the black album.
