OK.. I tried to blame it on feminism and got a bunch of responses that men are genetically gay..
In that case.. why is it, that I have personal friends, including one who dated my friends sister for 15 years no less.. all who never once showed any interest in being gay.. and all part of a macho group of alpha males who were all very blokey.. yet diverse.. ie. one works in IT, one is a plumber.. one is black one is white.. and so one..
I have known these people personally.. all have had issues with dating.. and now.. in mid to late 30's.. they are having their FIRST homosexual experiences..
Now I ask you.. is that GENETIC???
Or is it that these guys, often from poor socieconomic backgrounds.. have had a GUTFUL of being treated like crap by females??
For the record.. my scorn is not with ONE lousy ex.. I was homeless once.. and now I am a sucessful "full package" .. ask me how many times a woman actually hleped me when I was homeless.. the boys pulled though for me..

Perhaps they were always gay and never came to terms with it until now. (Some people don't come out until they are married, with children, etc. and they finally realize they are tired of lying.)
Perhaps they have always been interested in trying homosexual relationships and only now do they feel confident enough to do so.
Perhaps they aren't sure what they want and so are giving it a go.
I think you have some pretty serious issues you need to work out with women. I am a feminist, and I'm positive I've never "turned" a man gay.

I don't know what is going on to be honest....there seems to be some kind of wide-spread sexuality crisis going on, for men at least anyway. I think because women have a less black and white view of sexuality they will always naturally be more secure...for instance they can think and dream all they like about doing stuff with other women and still not even question their sexuality.....I think women have a more clear grasp of fantasy/reality too, they don't feel any pressure to make the leap from one to the other. It's a very complex thing, I don't think you can blame it on just women not being nice enough to these guys or whatever....woman are always feeling/being let down by guys but we aren't all turning because of it.

Well some people are predisposed to it but can't even admit it to themselves. I think some people are perfectly capable of suppressing homosexual tendencies for years. Many people want to be "normal" to be a better "fit" in society, but I think many are realizing that it is now far more acceptable than it has ever been.
As a consequence, they are now capable of admitting to themselves and to society that they are homosexual. I'm not saying that this is what is going on with your friends, because I don't know. But it is a possibility. Why don't you sit your friends down and just ask them? That sure would shed some light on what is going on.

Sorry to burst your balloon, sweetie, but people don't BECOME gay. Denial is no longer a river in Egypt in your world. By the way, homosexuality is not contagious, so continue your friendships with the boys who have always been there for you. I don't care if my friends are straight or gay, it's the relationship WE have that makes the difference. Sounds like you have great relationships with great guys!

It's because they were afraid to "come out" or in denial.

I am not sure, but why are you concerned about who your friends choose to partner with?
