i recently heard a cover of Prince's 'Kiss' on the radio, very smooth sounding mans's voice just like prince's

Does anyone know who it is? The music was soul sounding. At first i thought it was will young. Any ideas anyone???

The artist that you are looking is Howard Tate. You can find the cover on Rediscovered. Or it could be Richard Thompson on Old Kit Bag.

Thompson is smoother. Tate has a Motown funk feel to it.
