Everytime I press the button to close the tray, it goes in about an inch, then stops. I cannot see that anything is jammed and stuck in it.

Hey...

Why r u so tensed? Listen, u can do it by urself. U just remove the cd/dvd-rom from ur cpu. then open the screws. Then connect it with power supply. u can see what happen in it. u have to just change the ribbon and wheel. u can also tight that. After that u can find that the rom is ok.

It might have a gear out of track,etc.Try pushing the tray in without forcing it.It sounds as if it has just jumped off track,etc.

in a good number of cases the hollow is for resetting each and every thing contained in the force. So did you attempt to reinstall motive force-software for this dvd force? If not, then attempt. purely make confident that is the precise call for the dvd-force.

Its time to see if you have a warranty on it couse that doesent sound good at all

mine too, my lil cusn put two dvds and yea i tried openen it up iono im lost too =(
