A net friend told me that he never thought that gays exist ,,,,,,,, can u believe it ? is he fooling me ? or fooling himself ?

never believe what you hear and only believe half of what you see. There is probably more to his story.

I haven't been in a public place in over 30 years that I didn't run into GLBT people. Now in the 50's when I was growing up, yeah there was a good possibility that I never ran across one (well except the kid who lived across the street did actually turn out to be gay). I also never met a jew until I was 17, and in my class of 1300 graduating students from high school in 1971 there were exactly 48 black students and 5 of those were mixed race.
Times change for good reason and I think your friend is pulling your leg.

No, I can't believe it if he thought that all people are straight. I could believe it, though, if he just never gave thought to why some people like some genders and others like others.
