Technically, North and South Korea are still at war. It's known as the "Forgotten War" in U.S. history because, unlike WWII, it was a failed mission, the result was a stalemate between the North and the South Koreans, with thousands of American casualties.

FIRST OF ALL THE U.S. NEVER CALLED IT A WAR
THEY CALLED IT THE KOREAN CONFLICT.............
WE LOST OVER 50,000 SOLDIERS AND
SOUTH KOREA IS STILL POOR AS DIRT
AND NORTH KOREA IS STILL A COMMUNIST
STATE THEREFORE NOTHING WAS ACCOMPLISHED
AND AMERICANS DIED IN VAIN.
