my neice danced for many years and made lots of money
there was some risks involved but for the most part enjoyed it.
she had to watch what she ate and always be flawless so that she could make more money.
she's "retired" now and wishes she had taken me up on the offer to pay for dance school so that she could do what she really wanted and that was dance in theatrical performances.

If stripping makes you happy, then go for it. Stripping is just a job like any other job. Anybody can put down a job and say it's degrading, so don't listen to them. It's your life. Make sure you don't have sex with your customers (sometimes you'll be very tempted to, but treat dancing as a business and don't mix business with pleasure, otherwise you will get or spread diseases).
The downside of working in the adult industry is that you have to put up with lying to other people. Like some of your friends and family and even your partner. Sometimes there is a plausible excuse to lie about certain things and this is one of them.
If you are also talented and articulate and have a sexy voice, you can also make lots of money working as a phone sex operator working from your home. You can make somewhere between $8-$20 an hour.
If you are 18 and over, you can start right away.
The downside of working as a phone sex operator is that you also have to lie about your job to other people and to your partner (if you are in a serious relationship). You will have to learn to seperate your job from your personal life. Otherwise you might go crazy.

I advise against it. But its really up to you. How would *you* feel dancing naked in front of a bunch of old perverted guys? I dont know, but unless you really dont care about being treating like a piece a meat, I doubt youll enjoy it. Yeah, the money might be good, but is it worth it?
Personally, I have no respect for exotic dancers. Yea, they can say its tough work dancing all night or whatever... but really theyre in it for easy money (pretty close to being a hooker.) They use their bodies and the fact that people are always willing to pay for sex (or sexual arousal) for their benefit. If you want to be just one more slut, go ahead... but I think youll regret it.
No amount of money is worth losing your dignity. Do something more constructive with your life instead of looking for easy cash... cuz that isnt going to bring you any fulfillment.

I always would rather pay a stripper and get a lap dance then pay for dating and then get told she just wants to be friends. strippers are honest that way!

You have to be 18 your at the right age. personally i feel if you have guts and if you are comfortable then go right a head and do the damn thing lol. What ever floats your boat and would make you happy then heeeeeeeey girlfreind!
