What do you think, if all you can think of is your son or daughter with you or in your life before Bush was in office and now their gone because of him, would you vote the same way, Republicans should actually have the definition of "Repercussions" and be spelled that way too or Reaper-cussion, cause that's what happened we had to deal with a lot of regrets because he was voted in, or shall I say cheated in! Thank you Note: I did not vote for him

The catastrophe and loss in Louisiana as a result of Katrina is mainly due to the democrats who have controlled that state for decades. The billions of dollars that were earmarked for the maintenance and improvement to the levies over the years was often diverted by local government for other projects ultimately causing the massive distruction that followed. The mayor of New Orleans did not heed the advise of the national weather bureau to begin evacuating the citizens in a timely manner, but instead arrogantly declared that the city would weather the storm like they had in the past. The mayor was wrong, many lives were lost, but through moronic democratic logic and spin, somehow the President of 5 years is to blame for a catastrophe 30 years in the making.
People not honest enough to hold their local city leadership responsible for the weakened condition of the failed levies got screwed by their own elected officials. That scumbag mayor diverted rescue personnel to retrieve personal belongings from his mansion as his poor constituents were climbing onto their rooftops to escape the rising flood water. But just like that other selfish scumbag mayor Marion Barry who shows contempt for the little people, he can count on the knuckleheads to keep putting them in office. These people are victims of their own ignorance, and as the old saying goes "Ignorance is bliss" that is why there was jubilation at the DNC this past week. They love their forgiving and trusting moronic base.

Partially. But, i think that the bigger reason was the Bush administrations seemingly endless lack of understanding. With Katrina - they refused to admit any mistakes until months later. The same goes with Iraq, the Economy, Scandals, and everything else they put their hands on. If Bush was insisting to "Stay the Course" - then the voters had to change the direction of the road.

No, I live in Florida. Our hurricane response had been good. I have no idea why anyone would use the incompentacy of a local and state government as an issue? if the people of LA voted them back in, then they deserve everything they have coming to them and more.

Somewhat, Katrina opened eyes on how currupt and disorganised the currrent Administration is. It blended right in with deception and stupidity, and abuse of power from katrina to Iraq,

Yes, I believe so. Along with directing our troops to Iraq instead of finding Bin Laden. I can't think of a worse president in our history than Bush, and that includes Nixon.

I think the people should have evacuated when they were told to.
Seems some people need to blame Bush and the republicans for everything that goes wrong.

The Katrina "victims" are victims of their own stupidity, corruption, and greed. Not one cent should be sent there.
