I had my first period at 11 years old. It was also brown and it is completely normal. I did not have another period for quite a while after that. Don't worry about it but do speak with your mother about this. You are becoming a woman and you should now see an obgyn. Everything will be explained by the doctor. Take care sweetie.

Yes this is normal. It can range from pinkish to bright red and brownish. Just depends on the period. In the begining it will be kinda abnormal, dont worry, it takes time to regulate.

That is very normal. It will continue to be a brown color for your first couple menstrual periods, and then lighten over time.

Congratulations hon! Its just your first. It will lighten up to a brigh red color.. but it will also change in color during your same period. It starts lighter (after your first few) then goes darker towards the end! Good luck~!

Congratulations! Yes, it's perfectly normal, and it will lighten in color and flow over time. Be sure to wsh towel/panties in COLD water immediately. You may even want to put detergent directly on the stain. Welcome to womanhood! :)
