Modern women have proved one thing, and one thing only. That women can be just as irresponsible, sex-craving, and heartless as any man.

Wow. The holes in your argument....
1. Everyone is carrying more debt, not just women. Blame it on a consumerist society run amok, blame it on credit card companies that extend a line of credit greater than what an individual can ever pay back, whatever, but don't blame it on feminism. In fact, if you've ever read any feminists writings, then you'd know that most feminists are anti-consumerist, and pro-financial independence and stability for women.
2. Ditto, the trend of living with parents. This is not just a female thing, many more twenty-somethings are living at home for longer periods of time. Some of them are leeches, yes, but we are currently living in a time where a) Housing is expensive and affordable housing is hard to find; b) wages have not kept up with cost of living expenses, so that in "real" wages, we are actually making less than our parents did; and c) good paying jobs with decent benefits are hard to find, and those that exist require greater and greater levels of education, so that where it was once possible to make a decent living with a bachelor's degree, it now requires a graduate degree.
3. Feminism didn't show that "their (sic) was a problem with the male population at the time...." Feminism showed us that there was a major problem with patriarchy, which is a political/social structure. Men are as victimized by patriarchy as women, as only a few rich white men truly benefit in such a system. Feminism showed that men sometimes used oppression of the women in their lives as a way to feel better about their own oppression.
4. You are using the acts of one lousy b--ch to condemn all women. Most women do not commit credit card fraud or mooch off their boyfriends. Most women are working hard to get by, just like men in this country. If you don't believe that, then you have obviously never seen nurses, teachers and waitresses (fields traditionally dominated by women) in your life.

Women do not have a problem. We are just like men... we all have our own issuses, but no one gender is better than the other. Maybe you just found the wrong woman. I LOVE to cook for my boyfriend, I clean the house, I work with budgets... The reaosn the divorce rate is climbing is because women are becoming more educated than they were 50 years ago and they are more concerned with their careers.... which means that both partners in the marriage are working towards their own goals and they eventually grow apart from becoming selfish.

I think it's more a people problem, and genation rather than just women... 85-95% of all domestic violence victims are female...why are men such brutes? 4 in 5 criminal offenders are male...but that's okay cuz women are in debt?
No really though, I think there is some problems that are more prevalent in females, debt is one of them, but don't think all women are like that, maybe stats show more are like that but MANY aren't

I might buy your question/argument if you could prove that single men carry less debt. (FYI, they don't). A lot of people carry debt, married single, male and female. Gold-diggers and irresponsible yutzes know no gender.
I think you had a bad relationship with a young woman who sounds like she may have been a little irresponsible. But generalizations and characterizations will not heal your heart and you owe it to yourself to find the right gal for you and not worry about the problems with your last relationship.
Don't know what the divorce rate has to do with the issues you describe exactly. 51% divorce rate is bad but not sure that has to do with bad money management or not.
Just move on and know you are better off with out her.
Best of luck to you!

Sounds like you had a bad relationship. Breaking up with your girlfriend was for the best. She sounds like a gold-digger! The main objective for some women these days is finding a wealthy man! When they do obtain their goals, they don't even bother to learn a simple recipe or two. Their spending becomes out of control and they don't learn how to finance their money.
There are women out there who are not into material things and are independent. Don't let your past experience with your former girlfriend lead you to believe that all women have the same characteristics and qualities.

"women" are not "feminism".
There isn't anymore of a problem with women, than with men. In fact, we are all in debt - and if you give your credit card to others, then you are the shmuck.
On the other hand, stats also tell us that women are today, more educated, more eager, more ready to accomplish than men (we are talking stats, not facts). but still, these women are underpaid.
That is why feminism exist. Not to take care of little selfish creatures, but to add a little bit of justice in this world. It has inspired generations, and allowed women to get health benefits, rights, a voice that was not afforded before.
Maybe you should have taken better care of the mother of your kids... :(

I agree with first answer. I cook, clean, take care of the kids & pets, do the yard work and have worked full time on top of all that. Never asked for diamonds-couldn't care one way or another about that really. So does that mean I'm not a statistic? lol.......

Some are not raised to know the responsibilities of managing money or a household. Women have become as guilty as men in spending money they don't have and living at home with no responsibilities is one cause and reason.

ABSOLUTELY THERE IS A PROBLEM! Feminism is ruining our society! If women want equal rights, then stop putting yourselves on pedestals and be like me - chilling at home. I dont abuse my rights people i just use them. Look back in the 50's how great life was. Women were obediant and made the meals, cleaned the house, and occasionally spent the man's hard earned money on a night out with the gals. Ok, so that last part didn't ever happen, but we can pretend it did. Look, if we just go back to how it was, everyone would be happy, except the feminists, who need to leave this country if they don't like the american dream anyway! I don't know how to cook or clean, nor should i have to! That's a womens job!

If I accumulate debt, it is only to pay for my education, it is how I intend to pay off my debt.
Your ex seems as worthless as mine, there are a lot of losers out there, just stay away from them.
